The 41st annual John Woodruff 5K Run & Walk will be held at 7 p.m. July 12. The race will begin on Arch St. in front of Connellsville Stadium and will continue the traditional course backwards until reaching Isabella Rd. The race will end on the track in Connellsville Stadium. In addition to celebrating the life of the late John Woodruff, a Connellsville High School graduate and 1936 Olympic gold medalist, this year's race also honored the late Jamie McPoyle. A science teacher at Connellsville High School, McPoyle was an avid supporter of the John Woodruff 5K.
